Three Peaks Challenge

The Proximo Sales Team take on…

In aid of…..

magical taxi tour

On the 28th August 2014 the Proximo Sales Team (Steve Vare, Gary Pyner, Leigh Dargan and David Williams) endured both a physical and personal challenge by taking part in the 3 Peaks challenge. It’s fair to say that all may not have anticipated the extent of how gruelling this challenge could be, and despite a few casualties on route, we are delighted to report that all returned back to camp safely.

There is of course a very good explanation for why this challenge was organised, aside from a wonderful trek across 3 mammoth mountains! Proximo, for many years, has supported The Children’s Magical Taxi Tour, a fantastic charity which gives sick children a break from their world of treatment and therapy. The Children’s Magical Taxi Tour is a three day trip of a lifetime to Disneyland Paris for children with life threatening illnesses and almost every aspect of the trip is organized by unpaid volunteers, our Regional Sales Managers are amongst some of those volunteers!!

To assist with the convoy of vehicles required to escort the children and their families, Proximo proudly donate and sponsor 3 Hackney vehicles from the Company fleet for the annual trip to Paris. We are privileged to be providing the very finest of travel experiences across the miles to Disneyland Paris.

The charity pot received a huge boost this year and after a hugely successful campaign from the Regional Business Managers and their trek across the 3 Peaks a staggering £5,000 rolled in to the charity pot and was used for the 2014 trip to Paris.

As we believe ‘laughter is the best medicine’, our aim is to continue to work alongside such a fantastic and rewarding charity and ensure the laughs continue for years to come and lifetime memories are made for the children and their families.

Well done to all involved, an excellent team effort!
